Synopsis for Celebrate Your Wins

I’ve been working a lot this week to get ready for my first craft show this year.  I’m really excited about my new book.  Here’s the synopsis for Celebrate Your Wins: Steps to More Happiness and Productivity.

Most everyone can be happier and more productive, and this book can help. It contains 30 life lessons I’ve learned the hard way, so that you don’t have to. Each short chapter lists practical steps to change ideas into actions. Continue your journey to grow into the person you were meant to be.

Chapters include: “Live Fully”, “Setback and Smooth Sailing”, (How to) “Deal with Disappointment”, and “Self-Worth.”

Practical Steps Include:

“Now, for every activity listed under ‘Tedious’, come up with at least one for ‘Enjoyable’, and ‘Worthwhile’. These can be things you’d like to do but haven’t gotten around to.”

“Reinforce the good behavior with the small rewards, consistently, for at least a week.”

“Play the game. That is, take the next step in life as if it were the next step in the game. Return the serve, straighten the curve, out-trump, etc.”

“Do it right now. Seriously. Put down the book for awhile. Make the phone call or check the website or find the nice paper to write the thank-you note, whatever the next tiny bite is. The weight will lift from your shoulders as you realize you’re making progress, and that goal that was stomach-turning will now seem do-able.”
