Three Wishes/Thanksgiving Part 1

In some of the old folk tales, a boy gets a wish.

One.

He says he doesn’t really need anything, but health would be nice.  As long as he’s healthy, he can work for what he needs.

Later versions of the story add another wish, so he wishes for a hunting bow that never misses.  This way, he can trade extra food for whatever he wants (wealth.)

Still later versions add the third wish.  Again, it’s almost unneeded for him as he’s already healthy and wealthy, but happiness is good.

He was happy already with just his health, so I’ve got a lot to be thankful for.  More next time.
